I've set up a Web Site with all the Aussie pictures of our 2/48 impression if you want to check it out.

Andy.

Oh, you have to join the Living History Worlwide group to view it, but it's free (Run by the Reenactment Magazine from England called "Skirmish").

The 2/48 Bn veterans will be meeting at the Ambassador Hotel from 12 noon on Anzac Day.

Anzac Day is another day we can potentially be involved in. AGS members know of the level of involvement that group has at the Brisbane march and other Anzac day events.

Is it possible for someone to attend the 2/48 Bn reunion and gauge their interest in us helping and supporting their association?

Perhaps someone could take some photos in and speak to their association president about what we do?

Unfortunately I am not available at all tomorrow.
David? Andy?

Daves Working. I have the day off and will see if I can drag someone else down with me. Where is the Ambassador?

I also have no photo's other than on Computer. Maybe I can run a copy of the Ft. Glanville film off on a disk and leave them with a copy?

Andy

The Ambassador is in King William St - next to Bank SA, between Pirie and Currie St.

Dude, these guys are in their 80's. You would need to show them photos or a pamphlet, I don't know how many of them will cope with CD-ROMs etc.

Perhaps just meet up with their President over a beer, explaining what we do and see if they're interested in us marching in uniform for next year's march, or just drive their buggies or perhaps appear at other similar events.
At least get a phone number of someone we could spak with and perhaps arrange a meeting/demonstration later in the year?

Just some thoughts, we may not wish to go down this path? Up to the ANZAC unit...

Oh, I was just thinking, some of those guys might be a bit sensitive about the "play battle" perspective - maybe just photos of uniforms and concentrate on the drill/marching/salute-to-veterans slant at least initially.
