I have been putting together a 1st Division US Infantry impression suitable for Tunisia, early war. Here is an equipment list.

Springfield Rifle
Sprringfield Bayonet
M1 Helmet
Model1941 Field Jacket
HBT US infantry shirt
HBT US Infantry Trousers
Service Shoes
M1938 leggings
US Webbing (web belt, suspenders, haversack & First Aid pouch)
US T-entrenching tool & cover
M1910 Canteen & cover
US Jeep Cap
Trouser belt
1st Division Patch
Meatcan mess kit & KFS
Kidney Cup
Garrison Cap
Great Coat
Dog Tags (early war style)
Military ID

Essentially I have converted my 82nd Airborne US MP impression by subsituting another helmet, M1941 Jacket, HBT trousers and using leggings over my jump boots. I do not have a Springfield bayonet, as thus far the only ones seen for sale are over $400!

Images below show me wearing Andy's M-1 helmet while I wait for my new one to arrive.

Not really an error Archie, we just take the pics as soon as we've unwrapped our shiney new uniforms out of the post :)

Once we get them out in the field a few times, they should muddy up :)

Great pics by the way. Is that Yank on the ground in the second picture missing his head!

Original uniforms - nice! Although a little risky with historical pieces
