I still need to work on the angles of the litzen, I think theyre not rhomboid enough...but I guess its the stitch nazi in me coming out to play...

Craig, if you give it another coat, will it go darker? It's slightly light? Having said that though, it might just be the picture. Wait till I've seen it in the flesh before we change it.

Not sure about the breast eagle either. I'll post a pic of the correct colour for the eagle.

You won't find a better eagle than this one for the original colouring. It is that close to the original, it's scary.

Once again, don't change it till I've seen it in the flesh though. I'll bring this one along to compare.

Andy

Are you talking about the tunic or litzen Andy? And I have 2 more DAK breast eagles that are darker in colouring, I got them after getting the one I have on the tunic now. I got the one there from Phil, but the Landser ones Ive received are darker and a bit more coppery/bronze....

Oh, I meant the blue/gray of the Litzen ;) Wait till we've been able to compare it in the flesh though. The Landser eagles might be better. Is the actual eagle darker gray than Phils as well?

Phils looks like my heavily faded one that I used to have on my uniform before I put the bronze fabric dye on it. Correct for a 70 year old eagle, but probably a bit light to get that 1941 look ;)

Andy.

Aye! Yeah, the Landser eagle is darker and less faded unlike Phils. I'll swap that over...I love to sew. How sad am I? ha-ha!! The litzen is probably not as dark as the original in the photo you posted, but its closer to the colour...but yeah, it will be easy to coat them again. Easy Peasy. 1941 here they come!

I got the eagle wrong from where I got it from, the first eagle IS actually form Landser, the darker eagle which I have replaced it with is from Phil.

But this one looks more betterer.

Back on subject.

Just got notification of correct Litzen finally being mass produced.

I will receive a sample in the next few weeks.
