I did a bit of shopping today. Found two good personal items at good prices.

I found a 50cm wide, 9cm deep enameled wash bowl. Great for doing the dishes, or washing (bird bath) out of. White with navy blue trim. They are $9.95 from the disposals shop on Unley road just north of ultra tune. It is on the western side of the road. any of the WW nations we do would have likely used them, or something like it.

I also found that Aussie disposals on main north road sells East German mess tins for $12.95 They currently have lots in stock. I got one. I figure I will use it for cooking on the fire (in the passed I have used my fake UK mess tins) and who cares if the paint gets destroyed (Buy doctrine the paint is wrong. East German ones have a lighter Grey). The really annoying thing is I paid $30US plus postage for one just like it from Ostfront. The only difference is that the ostfront one had been repainted the correct colour. Still the colour is nothing you cannot fix with a spray can.

I know most of use have them already, but for new members? or if you want a field one and a parade one? in my case one is for heating up water and the other is for eating out of.

Steve, I bought my mess tin from aussie disposals. They have several kinds so have a dig for the one most like the wehrmacht one with the strap loops (swap lids if you have to). The grey paint seems to be fire proof, mine didn't even blacken over the fire, weird. My overcoat of fieldgrau was however pulverised on the underside into a gooey mess.
