Just finished watching a German Training Movie called Men against Tanks.
Very VERY cool! It shows the static trench warfare of the Germans against the Russian T34 and KV tanks. Its always good to see the Russians copping it sweet! ha-ha!!
But the use of grenades, mines, jerry cans with grenades attached, panzerfaust and all the other assortments was good to see....I definitely learned something! Maybe if everyone is a good little reenactor, Dave might bring it Sunday for us to watch after the meeting! One thing I did notice is the lack of Y-straps. They pretty much went into battle light. At the front lines they just had their belts on with ammo pouches, which they took off if they were going out to single handedly roast some Ruskies in their tanks using mines or grenades. Great use of two smoke grenades tied together on some string and tossed over the barrel of a T34...blinding the crew....A very cool half hour movie.
