Picked up a King Gee shirt to start to convert to an Aussie WW2 shirt today. Looks like it might come up pretty convincing. Just need to look at a real Aussie shirt to check the size of the shoulder boards and copy the pocket design.

This is Daves Aussie shirt. He wears a XXXL so the pockets and shoulder boards look a little small, but they are the correct size.
Just gotta give it a light bleaching and set it up so it take 3 buttons down the front instead of 4 and we have a fairly close reproduction of the Aussie WW2 Shirt.

This is my shirt (finished), complete with 3 button front closure. Total cost, about $35-$40AU.
