That's three words you know, Comrade is not a Russian word.
The word you want is товарищ (ta.VA.rishch). Back up to four now!

This is the most current info for the event.

updated Feb 1st

Don't forget.

Tropical Uniforms only for Germans,

Allies can wear either Khaki Drill or Woolens, but KD preferred.

In the week before the event.

Get a hair cut. Short back and sides, long on top. If you have short hair already, at least remember to shave off sideburns and beards (unless you have a special affinity for your beard :)

Allied troops or Italians are slacker with the beard rule than the Germans so if you are doing Italian or Commonwealth troops, there is more scope for facial hair.

German mustaches are no wider than the top lip. Rare, but we will allow.

Make sure you FILL your waterbottle before the event.

Allied:

Dave, Aussie. Firer with .303 and blanks.

Andy, Aussie. Firer with .303 Will need blanks.

Steve, British 8th Army. Firer with .303 Will need blanks.

Mike, Aussie Non Firer (Mortar Team & Vickers Machine Gun team).

Richard W, Aussie Non Firer (Mortar Team & Vickers Machine Gun team).

Axis:

Craig, Fallschirmjager. Non firer, but with deact. K98. Will be Sanitater.

Brendan, DAK Heer. Firer with 8mm K98. Will need Blanks.

Chris, Fallschirmjager. Firer with K98. Has some blanks.

Darryl. Fallschirmjager. Non firer with MP40.

Dan, Fallschirmjager. Firer with K98. Needs 7.62 blanks.

Brad, DAK Heer. Firer with K98, has some Blanks. (not 100% confirmed yet)

Gene, DAK Heer. Non firer. Possibly act as Krankentraeger to assist Sanitater? Most likely based on German Vehicle with mounted MG.

Other participant not confirmed yet, but I believe will be there. Please confirm with me asap.

Doug, Fallschirmjager Driver. Membership approval pending.

Eugene, Announcer role. Will be commentator speaker for the event (over the loudspeaker system).

Preston. Fallschirmjager. Non firer.

Props:

Sand bags. X 100 plus (will be taken to Fort on the days prior to the event. To be organised by President RSA). Chris and Craig to supply.

Stretcher (for Sanitater/Krankentraeger). Andy to supply.

German command car 4x4. Doug to supply, Membership approval pending.

A-Frame tents X 2 Allied encampment, David and Chris to supply.

Gerry cans/Ammo boxes and crates Various members to supply.

Do we want to have a photographer for the event? Do you have a spare person? You don’t need a uniform. You just need a camera.

I was thinking the same thing. Actually, I would love to have the whole thing filmed with a handy cam but don't know anyone with one :(

If anyone knows someone with a camera, maybe they could come along?

I think some of our social member friends might be coming along to watch the action (and our gear when we are actually doing the battle). Maybe one of them could take some pics?
