ARMY MUSEUM OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA FORUM FORMAT FOR 2009

Dear Museum Friend

AMOSA will be open every day from Friday the 22nd May to Sunday the 31st May 2009 from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm as part of the History Trust of South Australia’s History Week celebrations.

This year at our second Luncheon we again promise you an entertaining time. In order that you have first opportunity to be with us on what will be a special day for our Museum we are providing you with the details before they are published in this year’s History Trust publication. The booklet’s invitation will read:

Army Museum of South Australia
Reflections of Military Service Forum II

Wednesday 27 May at 1200 noon, in Building 34A Keswick Barracks

$25.00 per person

Bookings On any Wednesday, Corporal Jan Rose 8305 6374.
Main Meal will be a meat BBQ with Salads. If you have a special dietary requirement please indicate when booking your seats with CPL Rose. Red and white wine will be available at no more than $10 per bottle.

You are invited to attend a special luncheon in Keswick Barracks with well known South Australians reflecting on their involvement with Military Service. Radio broadcaster with ABC Adelaide, Peter Goers, a proactive supporter of veterans and Veterans Affairs and avid historian of the Boer War and Gallipoli – he has visited the Gallipoli Battle Front eighteen times; Pat Kennedy entertained the troops in Vietnam and has remained a positive and proactive supporter of veterans – she is well remembered for her Big Pretzel routine; Colonel Peter Byrne AM RFD ED known for his local, national and international service to Army and the community in the field of medicine and Joy Stasinowsky who was in Adelaide operating communications equipment when the Japanese bombed Darwin in 1942.

Simon Royal from ABC TV will host the event.

Last year at our inaugural Luncheon we raised $1,364 for the Army Museum. Your support this year will be greatly appreciated. A good time will be had by all with the Museum open for everyone after the lunch.
