It would seem that some people in the club have either forgotten basic people skills or how to email or a bunch of other things, but I have not heard back from some members whether:
A). they are coming to the party
or
B). they are not coming to the party
It doesnt take much to let someone know either way. but no answer at all is to me, downright rude and insulting. If I go to the trouble of inviting people, the least anyone who was invited can do is RSVP. I have sent group emails and posted here and most of the group have replied, which is good. But there is a few who havent said anything. There are some who will remian nameless at this point, but to those of you with the good sense and manners to reply, this rant isnt aimed at you at all.
Sorry folks, where I come from manners mean more than indifference. Action speaks louder than words, inaction speaks even louder.
*POST SCRIPT: After reading back over this frothing, I must apologise to those who have in some way said yay or nay to the day and night, its not a problem to me either way, but I do have issues with politeness and simple basic manners and people skills. I could be wrong in this feeling and I cerainly hope I am, but it would appear to me, being the FNG, that some people within the group feel that they are "better" than others due to the length of time they have been reenacting or in the hobby itself. Sorry to rain on your parade if that is so, but to me we are all equal and we all sit down to do our business. Common courtesy never costs anything other than a few seconds of time and it lets me know what amount of supplies I need for the event.
